Family update

Lj's Accomplishments

For about three weeks now Lj has been learning to sleep in his own crib. At first he was not happy about not being able to sleep with me but he had adjusted. From time to time he has played a game of up and down but he eventually closes his little eyes and goes to sleep. He wakes 3-4 times a night but it's getting better. He has also learned to suck from a straw. He loves to drink from his little cup. Oh yes can't forget to share with you the fact that he is learning to walk with shoes on. He is having some trouble but he tries, only along the furnitur though. He won't walk alone unless he uses his push toy. I'm so proud of him!

What's Next For Lj

At his recent Gastro visit we discussed Lj having to have another Pneumogram and PH Probe test. If you have been following my story you should already know that Lj has had this test before. I am not looking forward to watch him struggle and fight while the nurses are putting the probe into his nose. Just the thought brings tears to my eyes. He will have this test to see how his GERD is. He is still taking Prevacid for GERd and meds for his digestion. He will also be starting Speech and Communication therapy because he has trouble with textured foods and he is not really communicating for his appropriate age.

Andre

Andre has been doing great in school since he has had special modifications for his class work. He made Honor Roll for the first grading period and second grading period he has 4 B's 1 c and 2 outstandings. I'm so proud of him. His anxiety still kicks up but not as much and his ADHD symptoms and doing better.

Mom

For me things are so stressful! I have been trying to get my resume out more. Bills are continuing to pile up and my search for help has not been successful. I am not one for giving up but at times I have wanted to throw the towel in, but I am not a quitter and my kids deserve all that I have, all that I am and am not. I love them and hopefully someone will either use that donate button or I will gave found a job and created my own resources!

IT TIME FOR AN UPDATE:

Lj Is Getting Older

Well hello my fellow bloggers who have followed my Preemie story. A lot has been happening lately with Lj. He is currently learning how to sleep in his crib. It has been a hard journey because he still has some underlying sleep issues. He doesn't sleep for more than four hours at a time without waking. He is starting to walk more along furniture and with his toys. He will walk if you hold his hand. He has taken one step on his own but fell and hasn't tried since then. He loves to read books especially ones with colors and things that he can touch. He is still having his many medical issues and they still take a great deal of time to take care of. They still have a big effect on his life as well as mine.

What’s has Happened To mom

Well I received my Medical Assistant Certification Certificate in the mail. I was so excited to have gotten it but I haven't gotten a job yet. I have been putting in applications in left and right. I am so stressed!! I have started having panic attacks because I am under a lot of stress. I have been trying every avenue possible to get some help but nothing has come through yet.

Thank You

I want to thank the moms and friends that I have met on twitter who have tried to spread the word about my story. I want to thank you all for the support you guys give me. I am so grateful for the friends I have made! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Lj 2011

WHAT'S UP WITH LJ!

I wanted to take the time to update you on whats been going on in Lj's life since my last post. As you may know Lj is now 1 and is such a busy little boy. He had a small get together for his birthday and loved his first taste of cake. Even though he has gotten older he is still having difficulties with his health and develpoment. Lj still suffers with GERD, Chronic ear infections and Laryngeal Penetration. He just had a sleep study and it showed that he has some type sleep issue that we now have to go see a Sleep Specialist for. Lj is only 18lbs and having trouble with learning how to eat different textures of foods. He still is behind in his developmental milestones Apnea is still a problem in Lj's life. Doctors have not figured what is causing him to still have interrupted breathing while he sleeps and are going to start some testing to find out what may be causing it. Lj has 8 teeth and is very active.  He is not talking much yet but he tries. He is not walking by himself but he walks along furniture or walks with a push toy. He had his 1st Christmas and enjoyed ripping up the wrapping paper.

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH LJ'S MOM

I did take my Certified Medical Assisting certification test and I passed. I am now a certified Medical Assistant and a part of  the AAMA. I haven't found a job yet though. I have been applying for jobs but nothing has come through yet. I am still hoping that some how I will be able to pay my back rent before I am evicted from my home. There is no income coming in my home as of yet but I am praying for a blessing. This is a new year and I am hoping it will be better than the  last 3 years. I have faith that some how thing wll get better!
